To drop some grams but keep strength, we swap out some beefy ‘biners with the Metolius F. S. Mini II Carabiner. The compact size retains full strength and features a larger gate opening to also retain clipping ease. On traverses and vertical routes, the wire gate and flared nose reduce shuttering as the spine scrapes the wall, letting us trust our gear, so we can focus on the beta.
